ZEN@Samurai town, KAMAKURA
~The DAIBUTSU is waiting for YOU!~

Interested in Japanese traditional culture? Come with us to Kamakura, a historical samurai town! We will be going to Enkaku-ji Temple, where we will be experiencing “Zazen”, a form of meditation practiced in Zen Buddhism. We will also be enjoying “Shojin Ryori” (Buddhist cuisine) made of vegetables and chicken for lunch, as well as visiting the great Kamakura Daibutsu and the Teraoka-Hachimangu Shrine. A day filled with new experiences and a great chance to make friends. Space is limited, so register asap!
Date & Time: April 7th (Mon.), 9:00 am. - 5:00 pm.
Eligibility: Newly arrived (2008) Waseda International Students
Registration period: March 26th – April 2nd, 2008

to the ICC counter
(available from March 26.)
Capacity: 22 (first come, first served basis)
Fees: Transportation, Daibutsu entrance fee (around 2,500 yen)
*Costs of lunch and Zazen fee are free (subsidized by Waseda University).
