Theme: "Declining Birth Rates"
Looking for supporters!
ICC's "Talk & Visit" is essentially made up of two events based around one theme. In the first part, we invite a guest speaker to the ICC lounge to give a "talk" about the theme in question, followed shortly after by a "visit" to a place of interest also related to that theme. This term's "Talk & Visit" theme is as follows:
1. Talk & Visit Fall 2008:
"Declining Birth Rates"
2. Content:
Various countries around the globe are currently seeing a trend in declining birthrates, and facing the various economic and social issues that arise as a result. Japan in particular is currently in the international spotlight regarding its declining birthrate. What are these countries doing to combat these serious issues? We will be discussing these themes, while comparing the situations domestically and internationally.
3. Event Date:
TBA (sometime in late November to early December: 2 separate dates)
4. Roles:
Deciding on the content of events, preparation, PR, facilitation of the event on the day (eg: selecting and negotiating with a guest speaker, selecting and negotiating with a organization to visit, creating handouts for the event, creating posters, event MC and general facilitation, accompanying participants to the "visit" destination, setting up the venue for the "talk" event, etc).
5. Eligibility:
Waseda Students, Faculty and Staff members

Regarding the first supporters meeting:
The first supporters meeting will take place on Wednesday, November 5th.
Detailed information will be sent to all participant on Friday, October 31st.
