The basic philosophy of the School of Human Sciences is pursuit of “well being.” Everyone wants to lead a healthier, better and happier life. The School of Human Sciences addresses the most important challenge for human beings, which is how to lead a better life, and provides various education and research programs addressing this theme which contemporary society is eagerly seeking. “Human being” is always the focus of research at the School of Human Sciences.

To understand humans, many viewpoints are necessary. The School of Human Sciences provides various curriculums across many humanity and science fields which are integrated academically and systematically.

Students can pursue not only a well-balanced subject of study, but also various themes related to human affairs by learning both humanities and natural science. The goal of the School of Human Sciences is to foster human resources with problem-solving abilities based on spontaneous problem recognition. A wide variety of research areas are provided for students to help them become a “generalist” with broad knowledge and also, a “specialist” with expert knowledge.

Every student has wonderful potential. Our goal is to nurture that potential and produce fine people who are not only intelligent but also warmhearted and who can contribute to society by providing the knowledge they have acquired.
