Research on Contemporary Issues with an Interdisciplinary Approach

The purpose of “human sciences” is to consider every question related to human beings so that we can lead a positive and rewarding life in a healthy environment. Three departments of the School of Human Sciences provide a flexible curriculum in order to carry out this mission.

Although the three departments include keywords such as “environment,” “health and welfare” and “information,” there is no clear demarcation line between them, which is one of the school’s characteristics. This is because the interdisciplinary as well as integrated approach is essential to studying any research themes, considering the nature of flwidity of human sciences.

To challenge contemporary issues, a flexible and interdisciplinary approach, free from conventional learning systems and styles, is essntial. The School of Human Sciences aims to foster true leaders with various viewpoints that open up a new world of “human sciences.”

The School of Human Sciences has the following characteristics in its carriculum:

  4. Elective science and mathematics courses
