Journal

To support our PhD students in their research work and in completing their dissertations, GSAPS publishes a collection of essays twice every year. This collection is distributed to the various departments in Waseda University and research institutes. All essays are also available on the web of the Waseda Repository DSpace. In order for the essay to be considered for print, students must follow the stipulated guidelines. A panel of examiners and The GSAPS Editorial Committee will review it and only essays that meet the requirements will be published. Many students contribute actively to each publication.

Calls for Papers (NO.22-)

1.Conditions for contributors: Students presently in GSAPS PhD Program

2.“Journal of the Graduate School Asia- Pacific Studies” is Original research article by one author.

3.Conditions for the paper: autograph signature and personal seal from your supervisor.

4.All submitted papers should be previously unpublished original pieces, and should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. one or two anonymous referees review them, but the Editorial Board makes final decisions on their acceptance.

5.Information regarding permission to release manuscripts to the Waseda University Library: The Graduate School of Asia Pacific Studies has received approval to release manuscripts to the Waseda University Repository (know as D- Space). Contributors should submit their papers with a full understanding that accepted manuscripts will be released to the repository.

  • The first deadline: In early May
    *The first deadline for AY2012 (Journal No.24) is May 11, 2012 by 5pm.
  • The second deadline: The last working day of October by 5pm
    *The detail of the second deadline for AY2012 will be announced.
Things to be submitted & the place for submission : (1)Pre-publication paper of GSAPS Journal

・Please use the waseda-net e-mail address when submitting a pre-publication paper.
・The title of e-mail and the name of an attached pre-publication paper should be indicated as 「Student ID_GSAPS Journal NO. ○○」
・Pre-publication papers which are submitted after the designated deadline, will be excluded from the screening.
・The definition of the deadline is based on the e-mail received time by the committee(journal-haco@list.waseda.jp).
