Student ID/Tuition
Student ID Card
The University issues Student Identification. Please carry it with you at all times, and be careful of damage or theft. Please take note of the following details:
- The student I.D. card will be issued at a reception desk at the time of Opening Ceremony.
- The student I.D. is composed of a student identification card and a seal. The student I.D. card becomes valid when the seal is stuck on the reverse side of the student I.D.
- Stick the seal on the reverse side of the student I.D. immediately and write your name with a black oil-based pen or ballpoint pen in Chinese characters. For foreign students who do not have name in Chinese characters, please print your names exactly as they appeared on the seal immediately.
- Please use the Student I.D. card during the matriculation period.
- The GSAPS Office issues seals at the end of the academic year, so please stick on the new seal once it is issued.
- Please report any change of address to the GSAPS Office.
- Apply for an additional seal if the column for student commutation has no space to be stamped.
- Report the loss of the student I.D. card to the GSAPS Office.
- Present one color picture and a 2,000 yen fee for the re-issuing of the student I.D. card after loss at the GSAPS Office. If re-issuing of the I.D. card occurs more than twice during one academic year, a signature of guarantor is necessary.
- Please present the student I.D. card when taking tests, entering the library and student reading room, applying for various certificates, discounts, and commutation certificates and when being requested by university faculty and staff.
- The student I.D. card is valid for one year, from April 1 to March 31 of the following year, as shown on the seal. In case of students of September Admission, the effective term of the student I.D. card is composed of two parts - the former is the 1st academic year, from September 1 of Admission year to March 31 of the following year and the first half of the 2nd academic year, from April 1 of the same year to March 31 of the following year; and the latter is the second half of the 2nd academic year, from April 1 to August 31. Therefore, students of September Admission need to apply for a new seal at the end of each academic year, March 31 of the 1st academic year and the 2nd academic year in the middle of the calendar.
- Please return the student I.D. card to the GSAPS Office upon completion of or withdrawal from the University. On completion of the program, a degree is conferred upon the student upon return of the student I.D. card; therefore, please carry it with you until that date.
