International Relations and Security in East Asia

This project research examines issues related to internaitonal relations and security in East Asia. Some of the topics to be studied are: regional security architecture for East Asia, the future of U.S.-Japan alliance, the impact of nationalism in relations among states, and domestic sources of grand strategy.

If you have not taken many courses in IR and Security Studies in the past, please contact the instructor for additional reading material to be read before the beginning of classes.
Please note that the official language in the 3rd period will be English and the official language in the 4th period will be Japanese.
