(Not available for September 2011 and April 2012 Admission)
Faculty: Prof. KATSUMA Yasushi
Language of Instruction: English or Japanese
- Course Description
This project research course is designed to prepare for an MA thesis, examining
the relationship between peace, human rights and social development in less
developed countries. At the beginning of each term, we will identify common
areas of interest, in accordance with research themes of the participants, and
then read relevant basic documents together. At the same time, for each
participant to be more specific about his/her own research theme, the
participants will be requested to identify and read case studies, and then to
critically report on the significance of the research. Internship at UN agencies
and other relevant organizations, including NGOs, is encouraged. For those whose
research outcomes have reached a certain level, we will explore opportunities
for them to report at academic conferences and meetings.
