This project research examines issues related to international relations and security in East Asia. The seminar explores causes and prevention of war. Some of the topics to be studied are: regional security architecture for East Asia, the future of U.S.-Japan alliance, the impact of nationalism in relations among states, and domestic sources of grand strategy.

If you have not taken many courses in IR and Security Studies in the past, please contact the instructor for additional reading material to be read before the beginning of classes.

We will have research presentation every week in the 4th period preceded by presentation and discussion on related articles/books in the 3rd period.
