    ➢Eligibility:
Applicants must be graduate students enrolled in a regular degree program (MA or Ph.D.) at Waseda University. Applicants must be able to submit a proof of language proficiency as specified in the application guide.
    NOTE:
    1) Applicants of certain nationalities are restricted from choosing certain partner universities.
    2) You are not allowed to apply for this program and another exchange program at the same time.
    3) Recipients of the following scholarships (full coverage) are not allowed to apply:

MEXT (Ministry of Education), JICE/JICA, World Bank, IMF and Overseas Governments.
If you receive scholarships from other institutions, please make sure that you are allowed to apply for study abroad programs. It is your responsibility to confirm that you are allowed to apply, and Waseda University assumes no responsibility whatsoever for any troubles resulting from your application for this exchange program.
    4) Applicants of certain nationalities are restricted from choosing certain partner universities.

    ➢Financial Support:
★ A roundtrip air ticket between Tokyo and the airport near the partner school will be provided by Waseda University.
The Campus Asia-EAUI Program office (hereafter CA office) will book air tickets on behalf of program participants.
The CA office will not accommodate any requests to change flight schedules etc. by program participants. If you became unable to participate in the program after the notification of final result for some reason, you would be held responsible for any resulting fees and expenses. In principle, the duration of your stay at the host country will be that of the semester at the partner school.

★ Japanese citizens and permanent residents are eligible to apply for the monthly scholarship provided by JASSO.
JASSO will screen scholarship recipients by their academic grade, the amount of other scholarship they receive for this exchange program, and household income level (the income of the student and the student’s spouse). Recipients of JASSO category 1 and category 2 loans will be required to stop their loan program while they receive this scholarship for the exchange program.
We ask applicants to provide information about their scholarship applications as certain scholarship programs prohibit recipients from receiving other scholarships.

Partner schools will inform program participants about available accommodation options, but this does not mean that they guarantee accommodation to program participants.

    ➢Responsibilities of Program Participants:
・In principle, master course students are required to take one course provided by the partner school.
If you wish to take courses taught by other schools in addition, you need to let the CA office know your plan. The decision is totally up to each partner school and Waseda cannot guarantee you can take courses of your choice.
・Doctoral students must conduct research under a supervisor at the partner school.
Please write the name of professor you would like to be supervised by on the application form.
・GSAPS students are required to transfer the credit (at least for one course) earned at the partner school by completing the necessary application procedure.
They must submit the application documents for the procedure to the GSAPS office within one month of receiving an academic transcript from the partner school.
The credits shall be counted as GSAPS required credits as long as the total number of credits you earned in other institutions is less than 10.

・Those who belong to schools other than GSAPS MUST consult their school office in advance concerning the school’s regulation and procedures for credit transfer.
・Participants will be required to fill out the questionnaire and submit a report to GSAPS (and JASSO for those applicable) upon their return.

Moreover, participants will be asked to do a presentation about their experience at each school for the upcoming orientation for the Campus Asia-EAUI Program (scheduled for late January) and may be asked to speak at other future Campus Asia-EAUI Program events. All or part of the report may be made available to the public with the author’s consent.
