Screening Method
There are two screening systems. One is for residents of Japan and the other is for residents of countries other than Japan.
* Definition of 'Residents of Japan' : 'Residents of Japan' are defined as applicants who, regardless of their nationality, have their residential address duly registered at a Japanese municipal office.
- Domestic Application Method : For residents of Japan (Japanese and non-Japanese)
The decision whether to accept or reject will be based on results of the first screening (evaluation of all the required documents submitted) and results of the second screening (essay and interview). Applicants must pass the first screening before taking the second screening. Interested applicants may read the sample past essay question of the second screening for the admission exercise on The sample question of the second screening. Interviewer may ask questions in English regardless of the applicant's choice of language.
- Foreign Application Method : For residents of countries other than Japan (Japanese and non-Japanese)
The decision whether to accept or reject will be based on the results of evaluation of all the required documents submitted.
Note
Japanese applicants and non-Japanese applicants who possess a VISA of Japan in this category must submit written proof of residence in a foreign country. (see section "Application Documents" below for details)
