Program Overview

We provide two programs shown below:

MA in Commerce program:
The objectives of this program are to give advanced knowledge and skills in the fields of business management and the commercial sciences, and cultivate to higher degrees in its M.Comm. and D.Comm. To this end, the School offers training and research opportunities in Management, International Business, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, Economic History and other related fields.

MBA program:
This program is centered around practical applications of Management Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Technology Management (the three gInnovation Enginesh of the 21st century), and the goal is to educate highly specialized professionals proficient in these areas.

Prerequisites

Good Command of English or Japanese

> 

Sufficient preferable knowledge of commerce, accounting, business administration, or economics to take courses opened at the Waseda GSC

EEntrance ceremony and Core Course `Management Game' are limited to regular students.

  EExchange students are required to arrive in Japan before the orientation week starts. 
 In the past, it started from March 25th 2014 (Spring) and from September 11th 2013 (Fall)

  ECourses opened at MA in Commerce program are mainly taught in Japanese, while courses   opened at MBA (full-time) program are taught half in Japanese and half in English.
EExchange students are eligible to register courses from both MA and MBA program, including
  evening MBA courses.

Course Registration

  <<IMPORTANT>>
EExchange students must register at least ONE course offered by the MBA program and
  may register up to 10 courses. The total number of registered courses may combine the 
  MBA and MA program.
  Please note that core courses of MBA/MA program and all the evening MBA courses are
  NOT open to exchange students.                
EPlease refer to the fact sheet below for the grading system at Waseda.
  Bilingual courses are given pass/fail grades instead of letter grades.
 

EThe course registration period starts at the beginning of each semester.

EThe instruction of how to register courses is given at a guidance upon arrival.

EAlthough there is no limit of numbers to be registered, please keep in mind that GSC
 courses must be your priority.
EAs of Fall 2014, exchange students are not charged for the course registration, however,
  please be advised that it is subject to change.

Housing

  Waseda dormitory for international students ( Waseda Houshien )
  The application form is available from the 'List of Documents to be submitted' as below.
Students can move in a couple of days before the first day of the orientation (only on weekdays from 9:00am - 5:00pm) and are allowed to stay up to 3 days after the last of the semester.
