Notes
1. Tuition and other fees in the second and subsequent years are subject to change.
2. Some specific courses may require separate fees.
e.g.:
-Sport and field practice fee in the amount of 1,500–40,000 yen (for health and physical education courses)
-Librarian Training Course Auditing Fee of 7,000 yen (for librarian certification [including certification for school librarians])
3. Students in the final term/semester of their last year are required to pay 40,000 yen as “Alumni Association Membership Fee,” which covers 10 years of the annual membership fee that students pay in advance.

Scholarships

Students enrolled in the School of Political Science and Economics can take advantage of the wide variety of scholarships offered by Waseda University.

There are separate scholarships for Japanese and international students.
Scholarship programs available for international students are listed below. Programs vary every year, so please note that the programs listed below may not be available in the particular year of your study. These scholarships are awarded to privately financed international students. Government-sponsored international students and students whose tuition is being paid by a foreign government or scholarship organization will not be eligible to apply for these scholarship programs.

  • For scholarships for students in other categories (Japanese nationals, permanent residents, long-term residents, spouses of Japanese nationals or permanent residents), refer to the website of Scholarships and Financial Assistance Section (available in Japanese only).

1. Prior to Enrollment

Screening for the scholarships listed below will be performed along with application screening. Eligible recipients will be notified at the time of announcement of document screening results or enrollment procedure. There is no need to submit a separate application.
