The Graduate School of Letters, Arts and Sciences aims to promote, through specialized study of various aspects of human existence, the creative evolution of culture, thereby contributing to the welfare of mankind.

Our school has a Cultural Sciences Major and the major consists of the courses of:

  • Philosophy, Asian Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, and Education
  • Japanese, English, French, German, Russian, and Chinese Studies
  • Theatre and Film Arts, Art History, Japanese History, Asian History , and Asian History
  • Western History, Archaeology, Cultural Anthropology, and Enhancing Local Cultures in Asia

Students are required to earn 32 course credits for a master's degree: 16-20 credits in the first year and 12-16 in the second year.
