Below is a list of the various types of CCDL classes. An overview of the class and an explanation of the tools and equipment to be used are listed for each class type.

Exchange |
The exchange takes place during the class time. The focus of each class is on exchange, with each exchange requiring the collaboration of two or more partner universities. The majority of classes in the course involves exchanges with partner universities. |

Out-of-Class
Exchange |
Exchanges out of class time, involving small groups of participants using a chat system. In this type of exchange, participants are not involved in in-class exchanges. The topic or theme of each chat session is agreed upon by both partner universities prior to the session and each group prepares in advance. The exchange period is negotiated between partner universities. |

Steps for implementing the CCDL program |
 |
- Assign faculty members in accordance with the chart on Organization of Waseda University for the CCDL Program
- Exchange information on technicians and systems to be used for the exchange
- Conduct a test connection prior to the date of the actual exchange
- Implement the program (conduct a videoconference/PC chat session)
