天候悪化（台風・大雪等）による休講等の取扱いについて

　2008年度より気象庁による気象警報のみに基づく授業の休講・試験の延期措置は行わない。

　　台風、大雨、洪水、暴風、暴風雪、大雪等の天候悪化に伴いキャンパスが危険であると大学が判断した場合、授業休講・試験延期の措置をとることがある。

　その場合は原則として、各時限の授業・試験開始60分前までに決定し、本学ホームページ（http://www.waseda.jp/top/index-j.html）にて広報・周知する。ただし、気象状況が悪化し、危険であると判断した場合は、60分前を過ぎても休講・試験の延期を決定することがある。

　また、台風や大雪等、気象状況が時間の経過とともに悪化することが十分予測される場合は、前日に授業の休講・試験の延期措置の決定を行うことがある。

その場合は、前日の午後7時までに決定の判断を行い、本学ホームページに前日の午後9時までに掲載して広報・周知する。

なお、授業および試験が実施される場合でも、学生はキャンパスまでの交通経路内に気象庁による気象警報が発表され、気象状況等に鑑みて通学することが危険又は困難であると自身で判断し、欠席した場合には、所属学部（研究科）による承認済みの欠席届をもって、該当科目の担当教員へ申し出ること。

Handling of Class Cancellation and Examination Postponement
due to Weather Warnings

Please note that class cancellation and examination postponement will NOT automatically be decided due to weather warnings from the Japan Meteorological Agency from 2008. They will be decided with other circumstances and conditions and the decision will be posted on the University website.

In the event that heavy rain, flood, stormy wind, heavy snow, or snowstorm occurs and it is decided that coming to the campus is dangerous, the University announces cancellation of courses or postponement of examinations. As a rule, the University will decide 60 minutes prior to the courses or examinations and post it on the University website http://www.waseda.jp/top/index-j.html. However, in cases where the weather conditions get worse and it is decided that it is dangerous to be outside, the University will announce cancellation of courses and postponement of examinations.

Additionally, in cases where typhoon and heavy snow are predicted definitely to get worse, the University may decide cancellation of courses and postponement of examinations the day before the courses and examinations. In that case, the University shall make decision before 7 p.m. the day before the courses and examinations and will post the announcement on the University website before 9 p.m of the same day.

However, in cases where the University decided to conduct courses and examinations, students may decide that it is extremely dangerous and difficult to come to the campus due to weather warnings by the Japan Meteorological Agency and conditions of traffic and transportation. The student shall submit the letter of absence due to weather warnings with an accepted seal by the affiliated school to their professors in charge.
