Short-term Japanese Program 《New》

Center for Japanese Language will launch 3 weeks, or 6 weeks Japanese course, "Short-term Japanese Program", in Academic year 2012.

Short-term Japanese Program is selected as Student Exchange Support Program.
Scholarship for Short-Term Stay is available.


Short-term Japanese Program is selected as Student Exchange Support Program. The program participants enrolled in universities in foreign countries and continue studies or obtain degrees after the program are eligible for the following scholarship; JPY80,000 for 3week program and JPY 160,000 for 6week program. Applying for the scholarship is not required.

*There is a limitation for this scholarship. If the number of candidates exceeds the limit, the selection will be held.

1.Program Outline
 
Short-term Japanese Program is organized and run by the center for Japanese Language Waseda University. The goal of this 3week or 6week program is to cultivate students’ overall Japanese language ability. Through the classes provided in different levels, students can study Japanese language according to their own abilities and goals.

2.Program Description
 
Students take the classes 10units per week (summer course, 15units per week) for 3weeks or 6weeks and comprehensively improve their Japanese based on the text book. Classes are mainly aimed to elementary level students, but in summer intermediate classes are available. In summer, intermediate classes are open. In addition, the classes designed to reading, writing, listening, and speaking are held 5units per week. Students for summer course must take both Comprehensive Japanese and Skill-based subject.

(1) It is a student’s responsibility to find her/his own accommodation.

You can apply accommodations (Hotel or home stay) thorough
     the Campus Corporation.

.Extracurricular Activities
  
Extracurricular Activities are prepared for students to go out and try
their in-class acquired Japanese and Japanese culture. You can apply them thorough the Campus Corporation directly. Students can also participate in various activities organized by Waseda University International Community Center (ICC).
