Welcome to Waseda University!
The staff at the Center for International Education would like to welcome all international students and to offer you support in various areas of your student life.
Waseda University has welcomed a large number of international students since our establishment in 1882. All of these international students came with great hope, studied diligently, talked to friends, enjoyed sports, and graduated with various memories in their hearts while at the same time contributed to building the present traditions. You are probably all aware of Waseda graduates who are engaging actively in various fields of society worldwide.
Waseda University provides academic and student life support to international students in order to assist them and make their student life more comfortable. We encourage international students to not only have an understanding of these services but apply them to enrich their international student life.
However, students should remember that an enriching student life isn't just related to university support, rather it requires students to be proactive in their endeavors. It is also important to exchange information and thoughts with others in order to gain good friends. In the case of international students, you can share knowledge about your native country with Japanese students, an activity which has merits for both participants. Japanese students have a genuine interest in learning new things about different countries, and as a result of exchanging knowledge and experiences you will be sure to make good friends.
