The JASSO Scholarship

The JASSO (Japan Student Services Organization) scholarship is open to all exchange students nominated by Waseda University partner universities. In order to qualify for this scholarship, students must pass both a Waseda screening process and a JASSO screening process (only applicants with a minimum G.P.A. of 2.30 on the JASSO evaluation scale are eligible to apply). JASSO will provide the following financial assistance through the host institution in Japan (as of December 2011):
(1) Scholarship (80,000 yen per month)

(Travel and Settling in Subsidy will not be provided from 2011)

  • Undergraduate exchange program applicants are not eligible for the Monbukagakusho (MEXT) Scholarship.
