<Note>
*As a general rule the exchange program at
Waseda University is of one year duration*
The major components of the program are designed in
a way possible for the program to be completed in
one year. As such, we recommend a one year
participation in the program. However, if a
semiannual exchange is deemed necessary, please
enquire at the Center for International Education
prior the commencement of each semester's
application period listed below.
April 2012 Enrollment: 1st November, 2011 to 20th November, 2011
September 2012 Enrollment: 1st February, 2012 to 1st March, 2012
Moreover, please note that half-yearly (one semester) enrollment is
possible provided the following conditions:
1) The semiannual application numbers are not concentrated in one Semester
(In the case of 1 person quota per year: half-year commencing in April- 1
person; half-year commencing in September-1 person).
2) A letter provided by the Home university, explaining in detail the
reasons for not being able to attend the full one year exchange should be
attached to the application documents.
3) A method for calculating the exchange results: 1 Year (1 Person)
Half-Year (0.5 Person).
4) The JASSO scholarship (a scholarship for exchange students) is
preferentially given to students undertaking a full year exchange.
5) Semiannual enrollment will be carried out only to Undergraduate Schools
where semiannual enrollment is possible.
