Advanced Accounting Professional Program (1-year program)

For those who have special backgrounds in business:

The field of accounting has been making constant advances. New laws and rules have been introduced into the fields of financial accounting and tax law, and new tools and ideas have entered the fields of management accounting and financial accounting. This means that accounting professionals are expected to keep updating knowledge and improving their skills in those business fields.

This one-year program is designed for CPAs, tax accountants, lawyers, real estate appraisers, Shiho-Shoshi lawyers, and those who have more than seven years of experience in accounting, tax matters and judicial affairs. Students do academic research on accounting on the basis of their practical experience, and they can acquire an MBA with the completion of a Degree Thesis at the end of the program. Students also learn the latest accounting standards and various studies related to accounting, as well as conduct research in particular fields in order to develop high-level knowledge.

A key feature of the program is that the Degree Thesis is compulsory. Students choose their own theme for the Thesis and carry out research on accounting. This program aims to nurture specialists who have both wide range of knowledge and in-depth knowledge in a particular area.

48 credits are required to complete the program. The courses offered are normally completed in two years, but should be completed in one year in this program. Therefore, students are expected to become Accounting Professionals who have advanced knowledge by making full use of time to do research on a Degree Thesis.
