Accounting Professionals with
Superb Knowledge and Logic
In these days of Knowledge and Logic, I believe that those individuals who excel in these two features will be winners by grasping more opportunities in the business world.
Knowledge is obviously important because the greatest asset of the most active companies in the world is clear and intellectual thinking.
Logic is “language of thoughts” to ripen knowledge and to solve problems, and at the same time logic is “communication language” amongst professionals and people in different cultures.
When you become a CPA and do the actual work, each opinion and judgment you make should be based on understanding of accounting standards and knowledge about the latest points of view on accounting systems. Your knowledge and logic should be persuasive, clever and strong enough to make your clients, business owners, stock holders and stakeholders understood.
On the basis of in-depth knowledge of accounting, taxation and finance, the Graduate School of Accountancy, Waseda University, is a Business School of Accountancy that aims to develop specialized professionals who have various abilities required for auditors and businesspersons in the coming generation.
Our goal is to nurture business professionals with excellent knowledge and logic who also have the following two abilities: strong problem solving skills and ability to persuade various kinds of people they may encounter during professional work.
Our school was established with scholars and business professionals in the fields of accounting, finance, law, economics, IT, statistics and communication. We take advantage of the tradition of accounting handed down from previous generations at Waseda University. A strong human network also is being formed among professors, students, and graduates. I believe that this network will create synergy in the future and will have a great influence on accounting professionals all over the nation.
