Access to the center of Tokyo (Shinjuku) from Narita International Airport
Trains and buses are recommended. Narita International Airport is 66 kilometers outside of Tokyo, and a taxi is not a good choice of transportation to Shinjuku.
There are two options for rail traveling, the Keisei Skyliner or the JR Narita Express (NEX). If you take the Keisei Skyliner, you will get to Keisei Nippori Station or Ueno station in about an hour. You will need to change trains to get to Shinjuku. If you take the NEX, you will get to JR Shinjuku Station in about 90 minutes without a transfer. The Airport Limousine Bus is also available. You will find the ticket desk right in front of you as you enter arrivals and the bus stops immediately outside each terminal building. If you take a limousine bus, you will get to Shinjuku in approximately 90 minutes depending on traffic.

Access to the center of Tokyo (Shinjuku) from Haneda Airport
Please take a shuttle (Free!) to Terminal 1 after arriving at the International Terminal. To leave from Terminal 2 to Shinjuku, use Monorail or the Airport Limousine Bus. Monorail takes you to JR Hamamatsucho Station, where you need to change trains to get to Shinjuku. The Airport Limousine provides you with a direct transportation to Shinjuku.
